Fork Lift Truck Driver/General Labourer

Our S36 based client, who process and blend minerals, is looking for a Fork Lift Truck Driver / General Labourer on a full time temp to perm basis.The work requires a good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work, and the working environment is dirty and dusty due to the nature of the operation.

Varied industrial labouring work, which sometimes requires heavy lifting. Fork Truck duties, loading and unloading vehicles using a fork truck as instructed.Daily tasks will include the following:

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard
• Reorganisation of stock as instructed
• Sweeping up of the works areas
• General cleaning of factory floor
• Sorting and repairing pallets
• Packing and stacking bagged goods off of weighing machine on to pallets.
• Using Company vehicle to collect and transport goods.

It is our responsibility to operate in a safe manner, in consequence all employees on site must wear appropriate safety equipment as advised.The working hours will be regular day shifts (Monday – Friday) 9:00am – 5:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

You will require recent experience on a counter balance diesel or gas truck and a current license (proof will be required).
